Prize Giving info
Thu Dec 15 12:02pmWe are currently experiencing the effects of the current wave of COVID19 in our community. In order for you to be able to make your own informed decision about whether or not to attend our school prize-giving ceremony, could I please ask you to carefully read the following information:
We are going to hold our school prize-giving as planned tonight at 7pm (please have children at the Waiau Hall by 6:45pm).
If you are unwell or have symptoms of sickness, do not attend the prizegiving.
Please note that mask wearing is not compulsory; however, we are encouraging all those attending the prize giving ceremony to wear masks during the event.
Please ensure that you make use of the hand-sanitizer provided as you enter the Hall and follow all personal hygiene recommendations.
Thank you for your consideration of these important matters. We really want our Waiau School community to have a Covid free Christmas and by taking precautions we may be able to avoid isolation on the 25th December.
Please remember to bring along a plate of food to share for supper.
Kind regards,
The Waiau Team

Apologies for the late notice but we would like to take the opportunity to support the Gumboot Friday Appeal. The children can come to school in mufti and we would love to see them wearing their gumboots. We will do a wellbeing walk around the village in place of the bake sale this year due to the late notice. A gold coin donation would be appreciated if you would like to support.
If you wold like to donate $3 online you can text BOOTS to 469.
